Lastfall never really got along with her mother, Springdream. But Lastfall did learn two things from her
mother, the use of a spear, and wolfsong. She was the only cub in the tribe at the time of her birth, so she was simply called Cub. When she reached her
teenage years both her parents died of the foaming sickness.
She left for a few years to find her soul name. On her return she found a new chief had been born whom would one day
be Weepingshale. She hunted and howled with everyone else and became lovemates with the healer Songdaughter. Later the hunter Roughcall joined them and
Lastfall turned to him for the attention she craved. They one day hope to recognize and have a cub, Songdaughter could make it happen, but she would
rather have it happen naturally. |
